Last week, I went to the Portland Art Museum with a friend from work. We had both been wanting to see
The Art of the Louvre's Tuileries Garden, which ends on the 21st of this month. We both had the day off, so it seemed like the perfect opportunity! Also, it turns out, that if you're a student you can get a year pass at the museum for $15! Fantastic. I bought one.
This was a little to-scale model of the Louvre palace. I love these little models. There's always so much detail put into them. This was one of the first things you saw when you went into the exhibit.
This is a panorama I took of all the statues that were in a certain room of the exhibit. This was literally my first successful panorama picture-- THEY ARE SO HARD TO TAKE.
This was a beautiful statue that doubled as a column.
The above three pictures are from the Asian art section. It was Turkish pottery, and a Turkish child's vest. Isn't the detail fantastic?
